Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Wizlab collects, uses, and protects information when you use DoF Mate (the "App"). We built DoF Mate for camera workflow use and designed it to keep personal data collection minimal.

TL;DR: Core calculator data is stored on your device. Purchases are handled by Apple. We do not sell your data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data Stored On Your Device

DoF Mate may store app data locally on your device, such as:

  • Selected camera body, lens values, and calculator inputs
  • Saved presets and workflow preferences
  • UI settings and unit preferences
  • Widget snapshot values for quick display

2.2 Optional Cloud Sync

If iCloud or system backup is enabled on your device, some app data may be included in Apple-managed backup and sync systems. We do not operate those systems and do not control Apple's processing.

2.3 Purchases and Entitlements

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. To manage premium entitlement state, DoF Mate may use RevenueCat. We may receive entitlement status, anonymous identifiers, and transaction metadata needed to unlock features.

We do not receive your full payment card details, Apple ID password, or billing credentials.

2.4 Sensor Database Updates

The App may fetch camera sensor reference data from public sources (for example, GitHub-hosted JSON). These requests are used to update camera specs and are not used by us to build advertising profiles.

2.5 Diagnostics

We may review basic crash or diagnostic signals made available by Apple to improve stability. We do not run third-party ad tracking SDKs inside the App.

3. How We Use Information

We use information only to operate and improve the App, including to:

  • Run depth-of-field calculations and save your preferences
  • Restore and validate Pro purchase entitlements
  • Keep camera sensor data current
  • Fix crashes and improve reliability

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with service providers needed to run core product functions, such as Apple (StoreKit/App Store) and RevenueCat (entitlement infrastructure).

5. Data Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Purchase records are retained by Apple according to Apple's policies. RevenueCat may retain entitlement-related logs as needed for service operation.

6. Your Choices

  • You can uninstall the App to remove local app data from your device.
  • You can manage iCloud backup/sync behavior in iOS settings.
  • You can request purchase refunds through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not require account creation and is not designed to knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided personal data to us directly, contact us and we will address the issue.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date.
